Mukutan registration – Rift Valley Odyssey

RVO Mukutan is best suited to the mountain biker that seeks fun adventure in a family friendly social format. To enjoy fabulous cycling across wilderness, combined with excellent meals and simple accommodation.

Adult Cyclist : KES 30,000

Child Cyclist : KES 15,000 (under 17 years)

Adult Supporter : KES 15,000

Child Supporter : FREE

Supporting family (non-cyclists) are most welcome and are expected.

TRANSPORT per safari van :

Safari van accommodates 8 passengers

KES 90,000 Charge per van is cost shared by all passengers

Self drive option requires a designated driver

ACCOMMODATION per person (2 nights full board) :

Adult : KES 25,000

Child U15 : KES 14,000

Child U12 : KES 8,000

MUKUTAN BANDAS
Are a charming and affordable option from which to explore the conservancy.

8 bandas, each with two queen beds and a verandah

Additional accommodation in safari style tents with 2 beds & linen

Quoted pricing is subject to a minimum of 6 adults sharing

Full board self-tent camping is available

Guided nature walks, yoga and other activities are available

VEHICLE SUPPORT:
Allows for shorter cycling distances along each day's stage. Snacks and drinks will be provided at scenic picnic sites.

TRAIL TERRAIN:

Daily distances will be approximately 30-50 km.

Moderate fitness with novice off-road skills are sufficient.

Fairly smooth with a few rocky sections

Thorns abound so tubeless tires filled with sealant is essential (Stan's is best).

MEDICAL INSURANCE

Personal medical insurance plus AMREF Flying Doctors subscription are both required.

If you are not a member of AMREF then we will subscribe you for annual cover.

Rift Valley Odyssey Liability Disclaimer & Indemnity
I acknowledge and agree that the RVO Mukutan (“the event”) being a high speed cycling event, is an extreme sport and that it is inherent in the event that there is the risk of serious injury, illness, death and/or damage to sporting and other equipment.

I hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Odyssey Events as organizers to the fullest extent possible in law, against any claims occasioned as a result of my participation in the event of whatsoever nature or howsoever caused, including, without limitation, any loss, injury, harm, illness, death or damage of whatsoever nature and howsoever caused arising directly or indirectly out of any act or omission, including negligent acts or negligent omissions by the parties, including any claim for consequential loss or damage, loss of profits or any claim by any of my dependents arising from events related to, in connection with or occasioned as a result of my participation in the event.

I appreciate and understand the risks inherent in the event and my participation therein. I accept these risks and confirm that I participate in the event at my own sole and absolute risk.
